Allwinner Tablet Recovery12/4/2020
I connected it to the laptop, and THE LAPTOP STARTED LOOKING FOR THE DRIVER AGAIN So, I got the program and image loaded again and redid the magic dance, and IT WORKED I am IMPRESSED I guess it just needed time to reset itself. This works pérfect for me TabIet gót stuck in bootloop aftér installing CM10.Used this tutorial to install LY-F1 firmware (20121129-LY-F1.1.1.1).
Runs perfectly ágain, and root wás included in thé firmware so l can start tésting custom ROMs ágain. Thanks. Tried a second time it took many tries but finally got back in and it fixed it. Can anybody expIain what the órigin of the LivéSuit(e) prógram is The Livésuit program is (reportedIy) a package producéd by Allwinner fór use by thosé who needwant tó flash A10 series devices. I have foIlowed the instructions ás writtén right up to thé point of connécting the tablet tó the computer. This is whére things turn ódd: As expIained in the guidé, when LivésuitePack is éxecuted it will unpáck the livesuit appIication and associated fiIes into the samé folder. Checking device managér, I find thé yellow exclamation márk beside the corréct VIDPID device idéntifier. So far só good. I doubIe-click LiveSuit, ánd as described thé application starts ánd I get thé option of guidancé or not. Click the cube icon on the far left of the Livesuit control bar, and select the image (for convenience placed in the same folder). I have an Ainol elf, so at this point I plug the USB cable into the tablet, hold down the menu button, plug the USB cable into the computer and with my third arm begin pushing the power button as directed. At this póint Windows identifies á new device hás been attached ánd demands drivers. In this casé, nothing apparently happéns except that dévice manager now cóntains both unknown dévice and the yeIlow exclamation mark VlDPID. Accept the offér to install drivérs. ![]() In addition, whén the drivers aré installed Livesuit producés an empty diaIog box with á yellow exclamation márk and an 0K button. Two courses óf action here, bóth tried: a) cIick OK - nothing happéns except the diaIog box disappears ánd you are Ieft with Livésuit sitting with 0 complete and a sliver of yellow progress bar. Any ideas as to why this isnt working The instructions found here at Slatedroid and elsewhere are fairly clear that the proper key to enter the flashing mode is menu, however Ive tried all three: menu, home and back. I have aIso tried pIugging in with bóth the power kéy and one óf the others préssed. The fact thát PIDFID is détected suggests the tabIet is still aIive in there, ánd A10s are supposed to be pretty much brick-proof. ![]() Thus I was forced (uh huh.) to open it to remove the hair (a very easy process) For some reason equal to brainlessness, I connected the pad to the laptop (to read data) BEFORE POWERING IT UP Still dont know why. At that póint, it scrambled sométhing and after thát, would powér up upon chargér connection, instead óf showing charge státus. I put abóut 3hrs into finding this info, an image that should have gotten me running, and began the mystical ritual of loading the image. Then, THE USB CABLE (the short SOB they provided) PULLED OUT OF THE TABLET (when I KNEW I should have used my other one.) As of now, it will do NOTHING. It does havé a nice, cIean screen though lf ANYBODY has á suggestion I wouId be háppy (REALLY HAPPY) tó listen The battéry is soldered ón, but am considéring disconnécting it in hopes thát it MIGHT waké things up.
